The Board of Commissioners
appoints the Town Manager, Town Attorney, and Town Clerk.
The Town Manager is the Chief Executive Officer and is
responsible for the day to day administration of the Town of
Swansboro. Among those duties are the implementation of
the Town's
Code of Ordinances and Policies and overseeing seven
departments with 22 employees. The Town Manager is also
responsible for budget development.

The Town Attorney coordinates the legal
affairs for the Town. As Town Attorney he manages
litigation and claims filed against and by the Town. The
Attorney also provides advice to Town Officials, and drafts
ordinances, contracts, and policies.

The Town Clerk is charged with maintaining
complete and accurate records of the Board of Commissioners
proceedings and official Town files.
The Clerk's office prepares the agenda packets and minutes for
the Board of Commissioners and all Advisory Boards. This
office also maintains the Town's website and prepares the
quarterly newsletter.
