The Town of Swansboro Fire Department is lead by Chief Bob Penrod.
Our department (ISO 5) serves 35 square miles within two fire
districts; Swansboro Fire District and White
Oak River Fire District. The department has 35 members and prides
themselves on being a pro-active fire department and a leader in the
county.
We respond to approximately 275 calls each year that range from
grass fires, residential home fires, auto accidents, assisting the
public calls, to various other situations. The department has two
Pumper Trucks, one 75' Ladder Truck, one Fire Boat, one Brush Truck,
one Support Van, and one Staff Car.
We are very active in public education, visiting the major schools,
businesses and organizations
in our area, and other programs throughout the year. If you or
