Board Agenda Policy - The following table provides the Administrative Policy for the Town of Swansboro regarding all boards, commissions and committees in which the staff needs to prepare information for their review and consideration (i.e. Board of Commissioners, Planning Board, Historic Preservation Commission, Board of Adjustment, etc.) shall apply. The cut off dates for citizens to submit items to be considered on the monthly agenda are:

If the staff does not need to prepare information regarding a item, or in case of special meetings/workshops, the cut off should be determined on a case-by-case basis. The meeting packet should include a prepared agenda, staff comments/recommendations, memos, applications, drawings/pictures, plans and other pertinent information.

Swansboro Taxi Service - Designated Driver Taxi Service is the approved agency for taxi services within the Town Limits of Swansboro. Their taxi service rate is $2.00/mile. For service please call (252) 393-6015.

Regulations for Trash/Recycling and Yard Waste Pickups

Tuesday: Trash and Recycling

(Please put the cart out the night before.)

Wednesday: Yard waste pick up

(All leaves must be bagged, all limbs must be bundled in 3ft lengths and not heavier than 30 pounds)

Silent Partner Alert. The Swansboro Police Department is proud to sponsor the Silent Partner Alert, a FREE SERVICE to its citizens. This program broadcasts need-to-know information from government and non-profit agencies to the communities in which they service via email, text pager, cell phorte and PDA (Palm Pilot). The service was created by manning Systems Engineering LLC in Virginia. To register for this FREE SERVICE, click on the Silent Partner Alert link on the homepage (www.swansboro-nc.org). Once you are registered you will start receiving alerts to such items as missing persons, wanted persons, severe weather alerts, road closures, lost and found items, schools alerts and press releases.

NC DOT Enhancement Grant Project. The Town of Swansboro has been awarded a grant in amount of $205,000 grant which will fund the construction of 4,700 linear feet of sidewalk along Highway 24. The project will link the Towns Historic District, businesses and residential areas along Highway 24 with waterfront access improvements better known as the Dock walk Project which is being funded through the Division of Coastal Management. EDA of Morehead City will be preparing the design. We hope to begin construction on this project in the early Spring. Click map link to view progress and beginning stages. DOT Map
